Educational
Philosophy

My educational philosophy is shaped by my experience.

I strongly believe  every child has the right to a quality education.  My teaching strategy aims to  break down barriers and reach every child in my classroom. This starts by collaborating with parents and professionals, implementing educational technology  and simply going the extra mile to motivate students and inspire learning.

I aim to develop lifelong self-winding learners who take ownership of their learning. My role is to make learning meaningful and relevant to students’ lives.

I do this with gradual release of responsibility through the use of the optimal learning model, where celebration and frequent assessment are embedded. A backward design approach to lesson planning allows me to have high and clear expectations for all students, and high student engagement in classroom activities.

It is the supreme art
of the teacher to awaken joy
in creative expression and knowledge.
